After a pretty restless night, Heather let you be the one to wake up Quinton and you two were inseparable! We spent the morning going to garage sales and a farmer's market. After lunch and naps, we played outside in the sprinkler and you and Connor sat in your new camp chairs, looking all too grown up!

You played really well with Quinton, which kind of amazes me. When you two were younger, every time you got together, it was World War III. Ok, maybe not that bad, but there was a lot of screaming, wailing and gnashing of teeth! :) It is Connor that does the screaming now. He sure tries to keep up with and Quinton and he doesn't like being left out. I get the feeling that will happen a lot in the future!

We went on a last-minute trip to Mountain Home this weekend to visit Quinton and his family! You were so excited and couldn't wait to get there. We drove with Grandma Packer in her car and we left really late and got there really late. But, you were too excited to sleep! We stopped in Pocatello, because Connor was having a really hard time with the sun in his face and found "Cars" camp chairs. You and Connor love them and you had to hold it in the car and use it Quinton's and now you want to use it and Grandma's and all the time!

Connor, you and I slept in Clara and Connor's room and all night I had to switch between beds because you and Connor would both wake up and call out for me.

It was a long drive, but it was worth it to see Quinton!

John and Mackayla are doing a school with you each day. It is called the Jr. Elementary Turtles and you have a cheer and a song, and they teach you numbers and letters and you do crafts and play games. They even give you homework each day. Today was the 3rd day of it and I guess you didn't behave very well, because I was called in for a parent-teacher conference. Mr. Bybee said you were just a little whiny and you don't take him serious! It's all so cute and fun and I'm proud of all of you for doing it!

Tonight while you and Connor were taking a bath, I cleaned the bathroom and started singing. I tried to sing "Firework", because that is a song you both know. I don't know all the words and I'm a terrible singer, but you joined in singing and started making up your own song mixed in with 'Firework". Some of the words were "We love Mommy in the sky"! I love you, too!

Grandma got you a picture of Jesus with children at a garage sale and you wanted me to hang it up today. As we were getting ready for bed, you came to me with tears in your eyes and said, "I just am sad because I want to see Jesus." I tried to explain that Jesus lives in Heaven and we can't see Him, but He is always in your heart. You said you wanted to die right now so you could go to Heaven and see Jesus. I then tried to explain why Jesus didn't want you to die right now. You were so sweet and so sincere about it all. Then for your night prayer, you prayed that Jesus would be in your heart and that you wouldn't die. And then as I was tucking you in, you said that you love Jesus, but you still love me too!

Yesterday, on our walk to the park, you caught a little tiny butterfly! I didn't think you would be able to do it and I think you were even shocked when you caught it! Unfortunately, it did not live very long, but I'm sure there are more butterflies in your future!

You went swimming with Grandma Packer at the Apple tonight while I went to my support group meeting and you of course loved it! Grandma got you a squirt gun to play with and she said that you played with it the whole time!

John and Mackayla have started a school for you and Connor to go to each day. You are going to be so smart before you even start pre-school!

Monday, July 4, 2011!

Happy Independence Day!!! What a great day to be an American! We had so much fun going to the parade in Rexburg. You were able to catch a lot of candy and you were so fun to watch! You always turned the wrong way or ran to the furthest pieces away! But, you waved to almost every sinle float, so you deserved all that candy! We had a BBQ at Jeni's and Grandma and Grandpa were there, and John lit smoke bombs and snakes! You were really intrigued by all of them! We also went and played at Grandma Packer's house and you and Connor played in the water, chased kittens and rode bikes.

I love that when I ask you what the flag means, you say "I love America!" I helped you fix your scooter and you told me that I was the "Best momma ever!" That is really wonderful to hear! You are the BEST Triston EVER!!!

On the way home from church, you sang "The wise man built his house upon a rock". I love that you love to sing the primary songs!

Today, we were discussing if you or Connor was silly or goofy and Connor told us that you were his Triston. He really loves you and you are a good big brother to him!

We had a busy and fun day today! We went to garage sales with Grandma and Jeni. When I told you that you could only pick one toy all day long, you took that very seriously and you did not want to choose just any toy. You thought about your decision very carefully. At the first garage sale we went to, there was a really cool race car track and you didn't even want that, but I did, so I got it! You ended up getting a checker board with tires as the checkers. You got a checker board at a garage sale over a month ago, but it was cheap and this one is way cooler!

We then had a picnic by the falls in Idaho Falls and played at Grandma's house until 6:00 and then went to Rigby Lake for fireworks! We got there very early, so you got to play in the water and look for shells and throw rocks. You had a lot of fun! You really enjoyed the fireworks and it was a lot of fun!

You are generally a very well behaved little boy and I am always so proud of you! But, when you do not get enough sleep, you start to get a little whiny and disobedient. So, because we got home late last night from swimming, you were a little whiny and disobedient today. But, I still love you!!!

We were cleaning up your room this evening and you wanted to make your bed. You worked very diligently to get the blankets on straight and it took a long time, but you wanted to do it all by yourself!

You also like to earn money and when you help me clean up the rest of the house, I will give you a couple of coins and you think it is really great! You really a great helper!
